NEW AUTHORS SHOWCASE Est. 1997 |
|
New Authors Showcase was created by a retired literary agent, who although no longer taking work on as a literary agent, still continues with New Authors Showcase which has become extremely successful. It began in 1997 when it was decided to open a web site for those new writers whose submitted work was lacking in that special vital spark, yet too good to discard. The site has proved to have been immensely popular and we have found it necessary to restrict the number of exhibitors to five hundred. New Authors Showcase is truly world-wide. We have writers included from Scotland to Singapore and from China to Chile and as many pages have an 'instant language interpreter' (courtesy of Alta Vista), non-English works are available to most readers. Getting one's work published can be a heart-breaking endeavour, as we know so well. Top writer, the late Dick Francis, once said, "I tell new writers, Never give up, keep sending in the work." We hope that some future successful writers will remember, that it was through New Authors Showcase and the World Wide Web that their first book was discovered. I hope that you will enjoy exploring our website and persevere with your own new works Our web pages are visited by many hundreds of people, some of whom are agencies seeking works of a particular nature. New writers need exposure. New Authors Showcase provides this at a very low cost. Our charges have remained unchanged since 1997. £35.00 for six months display and £50.00 for twelve months Submitting your work for New Authors showcase. We prefer your submission to be done on-line. If you need to submit your work by regular mail please note that all postal submissions should be accompanied with a completed application form which may be downloaded from our website. 1500 words are ideal for your web page. If you exceed this figure we may have to reduce the print size to a point where some readers may find it difficult to read your work. Most of our writers prefer to use the first 200 words for a synopsis and the remainder as a sample of their work. Good Luck… |
