She looked across at the man sleeping next to her and reflected on what had been an amazing and sensuous night of passion. As well as being an excellent lover, he had a beautiful body. At just over six feet in height he looked perfectly proportioned, well-built but not too muscular. His handsomely chiselled face was crowned with dark wavy hair that he wore stylishly short. The ash grey eyes that had bewitched and mesmerised her last night lay hidden behind closed lids. She knew who he was and yet they had never met before. She wasn't sure whether or not he knew who she was, the name she'd used was false but he'd given her his real name.
He was Tony Whitman a senior member of the United States Secret Service. She'd recognised his picture from one of the dossiers she'd been given to research, prior to this mornings meeting. She felt certain, in his position he would have had access to similar
information and should have easily recognised her but he showed no reaction when she told him her name was Brigetta Nielsen.
She smiled at the thought, she quite liked the name Brigetta, perhaps she would change her name, it had quite a ring to it. She often got tired of sounding out her real name which was Jonna Kristiansen. Or to be precise, Dr Jonna Kristiansen, a United Nations weapons inspection team leader. In the past she'd been called Joanne, Joan and even Joanna. She often patiently sounded out her name
Y-O-N-N-A pronouncing the J as Y as used in her native Norwegian. Perhaps last night had been a mistake? At the start of the evening, sleeping with a member of the Secret Service was the furthest thing from her mind. They met by chance in the bar of the luxury Washington Hotel she was currently staying in. She half drowned him with a white wine spritzer when her arm was jostled by a clumsy guest. "Wow, I've already had a shower thank you, but thanks for the offer of another one" he'd said jokingly. He'd been there to meet a Senator from Colorado on some business and was having a quick drink before returning home to his apartment in downtown Washington. As they talked and laughed, the evening evaporated and before she knew it they were both in bed together, having the most wonderful sex. She was certain that he must have recognised her. There had been plenty of
opportunities during the evening for him to leave, but he didn't. When she wasn't travelling the world, hopping from hotel to hotel, she lived in a stylish apartment in New York City. It was within walking distance of the United Nations Headquarters where she was based. Her team had recently completed an arduous
inspection tour in Iraq and today she would be presenting their findings at a Senate hearing. She felt certain her tenure as a weapons
inspection officer was coming to an end, but wasn't sure what to do next. She'd been offered the chance to stay on at the UN with a
promotion but that would mean taking a step towards politics, away from the field-work she enjoyed so much. She had also been
offered a professorship at Oslo University in Norway; she would dearly love to return home but was torn as to what would be the right decision. She'd grown up in a man's world, her mother had died when she was very young and unfortunately she had no real memories of her. Her father had tried his best and taught her all he knew about fishing and hunting in the remote part of Norway where they lived. These last few years with the UN had been extremely hard work and often dangerous, but at the same time they'd been
exciting, exhilarating and rewarding. "Tony, are you awake?" she asked quietly, reaching across and squeezing his shoulder. He opened his eyes and stretched with a big grin all over his face. "I am now, last night was fantastic, do you fancy round two ?" "Don't be presumptuous, actually I have to get up and go to work today, what about you ?" "Yeah I guess I'd better make a show at the office, what time is it?" "It's seven and I need a shower." "Shit!" he yelled. "What's the problem, are you late ?" "Late, you re joking it's the middle of the night. I don't normally rise until eight thirty. I need my beauty sleep; I'm not getting any younger." "You look mighty fine to me, young man," she said as she slapped his backside. She got out of bed giving him a wonderful view of her slim and perfect figure. "You don't look so bad yourself you know?" "I'm going to take a shower, can you give room service a call and order some breakfast?" she asked as she walked into the
bathroom. When she came out of the shower he was gone, on the bed where he had been sleeping was note. Sorry ,got to dash I need to change for the office, I've ordered you breakfast, I hope you like it? Last night was absolutely amazing I would dearly love to see you again. Will you please call me?
Below the note he'd written his home and mobile phone number. I wonder she thought? He's right though, it was a lovely evening that would have been great without the sex. That was just mind blowing and amazing. I'd really love to see him again but that depends on how things pan out today. He must know who I am? I
wonder, will he be there today? ...
